Leisure City is an unincorporated community and census-designated place with 26,324 people at the 2020 Census. The older community of Modello is inside it, and the place most people outside the area have heard of here is the Coral Castle Museum.
The housing is mostly older single-family stock, a lot of it one storey, on bigger lots than the new communities give you. For a buyer who wants a yard and does not want an association, this is usually the first place I take them.
An older house means the roof, the windows and the plumbing are the questions, and the insurance quote follows the answers. Get the quote before you are under contract, not after.
What people ask about Leisure City
Does Leisure City have an HOA?
Most of it does not. The older single-family streets are not in associations, which is a large part of why people look here.
What is Modello?
An older community inside Leisure City. You will see it on old maps and in some listings, and it is the same place.
